Six Flags 09

Six Flags was awesome. Pretty day, not too hot, not too cool, the lines weren't bad, blah blah blah. There were some of us that rode EVERYTHING that we could get in in one day. there were others that paid money to go to an amusement park, yet did not even ride the merry-go-round. I won't mention any names. You know who they are, and they know who they are. But seriously, I'm glad those people came. It was fun to get to hang out with them, and let them watch us scream our faces off.

The park wasn't the only fun part of the trip though. The van ride, the varsity, Mall Cop, and the hotel were all a blast. We all have many new stories to tell, and new things to make fun of people for for the rest of their lives. I don't have enough room to tell all of these stories, so I'll leave you a list of people. See how many you can recognize.

High School Cookout

The High School Cookout! The time and place for all the high school people to get together and be the goofiest they can be. There was great food, a nice little fire, ping pong, and a hot tub. After everyone was finished hanging out on the roof, playing basketball, and all the other things we did, the dudes headed out at about 11. The girls had taken over the Zimmerman place.

Me being a dude, I was not there. But, from what I hear there was a lot of talking, maybe some crying, and all kinds of other girly stuff.

Anyway, the cookout was really fun and everybody had an awesome time.

Upcoming Video Scavenger Hunt

On this coming saturday... which would be the 28th, we are gonna have a video scavenger hunt. If you've never done a video scavenger hunt before, they are ridiculously fun. If you have done one before, don't miss this one! (Pratt) We will meet at brickey at six and then be done at the Hutchinson's at nine. It will be awesome so be there!

Hey everybody!

I'm sorry about doin this so late! Merge was an awesome weekend and I law a lot of great things happen in people. It was awesome to see the high-school peeps build teamwork and help out in ministry, and it was great to see the middle-school peeps... skate. Anyway, It was an awesome experience and If you didn't go you should definitly go next year.

I'm unofficially awarding the best costume to NATE SPARKS. Pratt was a very close second, but even though he had a hilarious costume, he didn't stay in character like nate.

At BIGSTUF 2008, days 1 and 2 are in the books. And here's what we've experienced so far: Too many hours in a van, plenty of potty breaks, we've rocked the house with Steve Fee, too many hours in a van, the teaching of Andy Stanley, Francis Chan, and Jered Herd, several trips to the Seven-Eleven, too many hours in a van, afternoon thunderstorms, a new hotel, Yeah!, and did we say too many hours in a van?
All this and there's still two and a half days to go!

TOP 10 RULES FOR ROLLIN' THE STUDENT PASTOR'S YARD

1. Don't get caught!
2. At least make it worth your while and start with 100 rolls of toilet paper instead of one family pack of 24.
3. Don't answer your phone when the student pastor calls and confess to the job.
4. Don't show up 10 minutes after you complete the job to see if the student pastor is mad.
5. If you say you are going to clean up, CLEAN UP!
6. Don't trust the adults that tell you to roll, fork, saran wrap, and post it note (as they do in the hood).
7. Don't spit on moths, that's just wrong. . .no matter how big they are!
8. If you roll the student pastor's yard, he is entitled to payback whenever and however he chooses.
9. Leave out the "play-by-play" of who did what, who bought what, and who said what!
10. Check the weather forecast!

TENNESSEE SMOKIES- A NINE-INNING VACATION!

Well, I definitely feel sorry for all of you that "couldn't make it" to the smokies game. Yeah, I see through your little sham (Taylor Pratt). But seriously people, if you didn't come you definitely missed a show. I mean, the AA minor league division is pretty darn cutthroat, even though many of the players will never be heard of in the majors. (I'm sorry that was kind of a mean thing to say.) Changing the subject, many of our group's favorite player was none other than DOUG DEEDS-

I mean, look at him! he looks so happy to be in the minors. Although he obviously is a person of pure joy, he almost climbed over the fence and severely injured our own Derek Cantrell. However, Deeds paled in comparison to Mike Wilson, or as Minton calls him: NUMBER FIFTY WITH THE HOSE!

Above all else though, It was my brother Casey's Birthday, so if you haven't already, wish him a happy late birthday.

Have a good week everybody! and remember-"BAT ASH"! (Bat ash is the substance filling all Major League Baseball bats to prevent injury when a bat is broken and goes flying into the infield. Instead of a broken bat shards, the bats just blow up now!)
